2017-2018 Leading Chapter Awards
Each year the top chapter in accumulated members and degrees, not more than one per district, receives the Leading Chapter Award; then its accumulated total returns to zero and it begins a new record. The Leading Chapter Award is given out by the district chair at the district tournament and will arrive in your district box 5-6 weeks before your tournament. We're excited to share the list of winners for the 2017-2018 school year! Advisors and administrators of winning programs will receive letters of congratulations in the mail this month.
The January Public Forum topic area is National Budget/Debt. You can submit resolution ideas via the NSDA website through October 31, together with an explanation and research links/citations demonstrating a robust debatable issue. Learn more on our Topics page.

Seeking State Educators of the Year
Nominations for the State Educator of the Year awards will be accepted from fellow educators, administrators, school board members, or parents. Each State Educator of the Year will be considered for the national award. Click here to learn more about requirements or to submit a nomination by October 29.
