National Recognition for your Principal

If your principal is an asset to your program, we encourage you to nominate them for national recognition! We are now accepting nominations for both the High School Principal of the Year Award and the Middle School Principal of the Year Award. Be sure to review the criteria online and start gathering both letters of recommendation now, well ahead of the April 6 deadline! 

Choose from more than 40 Sessions!

The second annual NSDA National Conference will be held July 28-31 and will feature more than 40 engaging sessions that support our theme of Radiant Voices: Empowerment through Speech and Debate. Watch the video below for a special preview of what's in store in Phoenix!

Alumni in the Headlines

Celeste Ng to Produce Limited Hulu Series » NSDA alum Celeste Ng's bestselling novel Little Fires Everywhere is headed to Hulu! The limited series will star Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington as two women in small town Ohio who are brought together when their children become friends. Ng will also work as a producer on the series. 
Jordan Peele Makes Oscar History » First-time filmmaker and NSDA alum Jordan Peele took home an Oscar for his film Get Out earlier this month. With his win, Peele became the first Black person to win an Oscar for best original screenplay.
