Please welcome our new board member

Please provide a warm welcome to Larry Lewien, our new Board of Directors member. Lewien replaces Joshua Kellcy, who has stepped down and joined the Advisory Board.
Lewien is Managing Senior Grant and Contract Officer with World Vision U.S. since 2017. He manages a team responsible for grant compliance management and a global profile.
He was a senior project manager at World Vision U.S. from 2014-17 and a finance and support manager at World Vision International from 2009-13.
He and his wife have two children at SCA. He is a member of New Life Foursquare Church in University Place where he is a Welcome Director. He earned his BA in Music Education in 1995 from Western Washington University and his MBA of Business in 2007 from UW Tacoma.

Please welcome new PVN President Sarah Major

Sarah Major, left, was really announced as the new Parent Volunteer Network president.
Major has been a member of the PVN for two years and replaces Megan Wendtland, who resigned over the summer.
She is a real estate agent with two kids who attend Sound Christian Academy. She is also an alum of the school.
The PVN also announced that Nicole Copeland is the new Treasurer and Errin Calkins is the new Elementary Room Parent Coordinator.
The PVN board meets the first Tuesday of every month and is open to all SCA parents. Email Sarah Major for more information.

Changes to Drive Line

If you have a children in either High School or Middle School AND Elementary School, you can chose to drop off your Elementary students in the Middle School parking lot with their older sibling.
If you choose to drop of all of your children in the Middle School lot, your Middle School or High School student needs to escort their Elementary siblings to the playground area when dropped off.
If you prefer to continue to drop off your Elementary students off at the Elementary parking lot, you are welcome to do so. Also as a reminder, any students arriving after 8 a.m. need to check in at the school office.

Lock your car so it doesn't end up like this

Parents please remind your students who drive and park on campus to lock their doors after they park. 
Our campus is not immune to car prowlers and unlocked cars can easily have items taken from them.
