As we close out the year, let’s reflect on how generous partners and supporters like you have "Moved Together" with Agape Child & Family Services to provide children and families with healthy homes.  We are honored and proud to report some great MOVEMENT in 2021:

Agape Child & Family Services turned 51 years old. With your help, we continue to bring hope, faith, skills, support, encouragement, and love to thousands of underserved Memphis children and families with a focus in Frayser, Hickory Hill and Whitehaven.

Agape’s Families in Transition (FIT) turned 20 years old. This program is dedicated to providing transitional housing and support to homeless families and their children fleeing domestic violence.

Agape Child & Family Services was re-accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA)  through an expedited process because of not receiving any out-of-compliance ratings in any of the fundamental practice standard areas.

According to an independent assessment done by Slingshot Memphis, Agape produces $1.30 to $1.55 in estimated poverty-fighting benefits for each dollar it spends and has very strong use of best practices, systems-level change, and measurement infrastructure.

Six (6) families participating in our Families in Transition program received vouchers for housing, providing stability to children and families.

As we walk alongside and support families as they BREAK the cycle of generational poverty and move into a thriving and sustaining life, we are proud to report that 8.86% of families served are now economically above the poverty line. (This compares with 2.6% of Memphis families living in poverty who ever escape poverty into a better life.)

David Jordan, president & CEO, was included among Memphis Magazine's 2021 Power Players in public service. 

Over 300 couples attended the inaugural virtual “Becoming One” Marriage conference to enhance marriages and strengthen families.

Our annual Kids Classic golf tournament was held at TPC Southwind with one of the largest participations reported in history.

Chief Human Resources Officer, Desiree Lyles Wallace, was named a Super Woman in Business by Memphis Business Journal.

We held our virtual Heartlight 2021 featuring Pastor Donnie McClurkin & Steven Curtis Chapman where over 25,000 people were reached to celebrate with us.

Agape Child & Family Services was proud to be awarded Governor Lee’s Award of Excellence, recognizing non-profit organizations that have made a significant impact in their communities.

Agape Child & Family Services was named by Commercial Appeal as one of the 2021 TOP PLACES TO WORK IN MEMPHIS!
