| Virtually Connected: Expanding Perspectives Through Immersive Experiences |
Graduate Students, please join the Office of Graduate Affairs and The Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center (TLTC) for an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience designed to broaden perspectives, inspire empathy, and deepen connections to Seton Hall University's commitment to servant leadership and service.
|
Through VR, graduate students can step into experiences and environments they may not otherwise encounter, gaining new insights into diverse communities, challenges, cultures, and lived experiences. By seeing the world through different perspectives, participants will explore how empathy can inform meaningful service, leadership, and engagement both within their professions and communities.

A Leap of Faith, A Life of Purpose
In a new video focused on faith and love, Dianne Traflet, J.D., S.T.D., a faculty member and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Administration at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology, shares her personal story of faith and hope in the latest installment of Seton Hall’s Guiding Values series.

| Managing More than Coursework
|
Graduate school often means a balancing act between a job, family responsibilities, research, clinical placements, and more. It’s a lot, and it’s okay if it feels too much sometimes. You don’t have to manage alone.
|
Seton Hall graduate students have access to free, confidential therapy services through Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). CAPS also offers Uwill, a teletherapy service, that makes it easy to connect with a licensed counselor on your schedule through evening and weekend hours.

Setting A Strong Foundation
|
Whether you are continuing your graduate program or just getting started, the beginning of the semester is a great time to build a strong foundation for your career goals.
|
-
Take time to review your syllabus and connect with your professors. Identify topics that interest you and consider how you can align projects and papers with your long-term career interests.
- Examine the skills that you will develop from your classes and how they connect with your current position and/or future career goals. This will help you discuss in future interviews how your education has prepared you for future roles.
-
Consider how your current role, or new internships or job opportunities, would allow you to apply the skills you are gaining through your coursework while developing expertise in new areas.
|
If you would like to speak with a career advisor about your specific career plan, please set up an appointment through Compass. The Career Center team is happy to help!
