Retirement of NIH’s Automated Just-in-Time Email Notification 
The automated Just-In-Time email, generated by the eRA system and sent to applicants for all applications that receive an overall impact score of 30 or less, is retired effective October 1, 2024.
Official notification of the need for JIT material(s) will continue to be sent directly by NIH staff from the awarding Institute/Center to those who are required to provide the material(s). View
Funding Opportunities by Agency

Discovery Boost Grants (DBG) high-risk, high-reward exploratory cancer research.  Awards are for up to 2 years with $135,000 a year for direct costs, plus 10% allowable indirect costs.  Due: 04/01/25
Mission Boost Grants (MBG)  Stage I Mission Boost: $135,000/year for two years direct costs, plus 10% indirect costs.  Stage II Mission Boost:  Applicants may propose up to 18 months and $545,000 for direct costs, plus 10% indirect costs. Due: 04/01/25
Research Scholar Grants  Awards are for up to 4 years with up to $215,000/year for direct costs, plus 10% allowable indirect costs. Due: 04/01/25
Postdoctoral Fellowship  $66,000 Yr 1, $68,000 Yr 2,  $70,0000 Yr 3, and additional $4,000/year Fellowship allowance. Due: 04/01/25
Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG)  Awards may be for 3 to 5 years with $135,000 a year for direct costs, plus 8% allowable indirect costs. Due: 04/01/25
2025 Career Development Award  $77,000/year including 10% indirects for three years. Applications due 12/05/2024 
2025 Innovative Project Award $100,000/year including 10% indrects for two years.  Pre-proposal due 12/05/24.  Full application by invitation: 03/06/25              
AHA 2025 Tranformational Project Award $100,000/year for three years, including 10% indirects. Full application: 02/13/25
Clinical Research Investigator-Initiated Awards Applicants submitting proposals above $250,000/year in total costs (10% IDC maximum allowed) should speak with Foundation staff prior to submitting a letter of intent. Awarded up to three years.  LOI: 12/05/2024; full application: 02/13/2025
Senior Research Awards  up to $118,182 per year, 10% indirect costs.  Duration of award is one to three years. LOI: 12/05/24; full application: 02/13/25
Litwin IBD Pioneers $130,000 including 10% indirects for clinical trials; and up to $110,000 including 10% indirects for lab-based studies.   Up to two years LOI: 12/05/24; full application: 02/13/25
Career Development Awards Award salary will match applicants’ institutional salary (salaries may be supplemented by the applicant’s institution), depending on postgraduate year (PGY) level, up to $60,000 per year and fringe - up to $15,000 per year, plus $27,500 for non-salary/fringe expenses. LOI: 12/05/24; full application: 02/13/25
Research Fellowship Awards  Maximum award per year: $70,000 for one to three years including salary, fringe, and non-salary/fringe expenses. LOI: 12/15/24; full application: 02/13/25                   
Damon Runyon Physician-Scientist Training Award  Award period is four years, total award: $460,000.  Additionally, The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation will retire up to $100,000 of any qualifying medical school debt still owed by the awardee. Applications due by 12/02/24
Damon Runyon Quantitative Biology Fellowship Award Stipend: $76,000 Yr 1, $78,000 Yr 2,  and $80,000 Yr 3 plus 2K/year expense allowance. Applications due by 12/02/24
Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator Award *Institutional nomination required* $200,000/year for three years. The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation will retire up to $100,000 of any qualifying medical school debt still owed by the awardee. Internal applications due: 11/13; Full applications due: 02/03/25
Damon Runyon Fellowship Award  Stipend: $70,000 Yr 1, $72,000 Yr 2, $74,000, Yr 3, and $76,000 Yr 4 plus 2K/year expense allowance. The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation will retire up to $100,000 of any qualifying medical school debt still owed by the awardee.  Applications due by 03/17/25
