As the Fair continues, there’s even more to look forward to with special events and themed days. New hours go into effect. Monday through Thursday, gates open at 4 p.m.
Monday, July 14
Family Discount Day – Everyone gets in for just $2 for the first 2 hours, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Meatless Monday – Enjoy plant-based cooking demos and fresh veggie-forward flavors cooking demonstration in the SMUD Energy Efficient Cooking Theatre in Save Mart California’s Kitchen.

Go Safely Kid’s Day – Kids 12 and under get in for free and $2 rides for everyone.
CA State Fair Food Competition – A panel of judges will sample the most outrageous, mouthwatering, and creative Fair food entries to crown the best of 2025.
Toyota Concert Series on the Sky River Stage
“Happy Together” Tour rolls into the California State Fair, bringing a lineup of iconic Billboard hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
