Dr. Dwight Loveday Named Interim 4-H Assistant Dean & Head of ALEC Department

On July 1st, Dr. Richard Clark stepped down as UT Extension Assistant Dean and Agriculture Leadership, Education and Communications (ALEC) Department Head to pursue a new adventure by serving in a leadership position within the 4-H ‘Next Chapter’ Program, which aims to inspire and encourage members to continue their education beyond high school, promote higher education options and develop readiness skills amongst youth.

Though we are sad this chapter is coming to a close, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Dwight Loveday. Loveday will serve as the Interim 4-H Assistant Dean and ALEC Department Head.

TN 4-H Foundation Introduces New Website!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand new Tennessee 4-H Foundation website. After undergoing a complete redesign with three guiding principles in mind, the new site was made to optimize accessibility and functionality for all users.
The main goal of the redesign was to create a responsive site with a modern design that is extremely user-friendly. The new site’s responsive framework ensures a great experience for everyone visiting, whether on a desktop computer, smartphone or tablet. Additionally, the sleek new design helps visitors find the information and resources they need easily and quickly, including pages with up-to-date documents and a simplified way to donate.
We invite you to check out the new site and explore it for yourself. Happy surfing!
Seasoned with Grace
Like most rising seniors, Grace Harville is busy with a wide array of activities, including 4-H, playing the piano, singing, and serving as the president of the Tennessee chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

What sets Harville apart from her classmates is that she’s the chef behind Smith County Chamber Corner’s popular show, “Seasoned with Grace.”

The show, which is broadcast through DeKalb Telephone Cooperative (DTC), features Harville making a variety of recipes from her kitchen, including everything from a seasonal vegetable salad to a sinfully delicious coconut cake.
