A Transformative Gift From Tom Golisano

CCFCS is incredibly honored to accept a $5 million gift from philanthropist Tom Golisano, announced in September as part of a $360 million donation to 80 non-profit agencies across upstate NY.  Accepting the gift on behalf of CCFCS was President and CEO Lori VanAuken. The unrestricted donation to CCFCS is a transformative gift that will enrich the lives of those we serve. Thank you, Mr. Golisano!

Marketplace Senior Apartments

In October, CCFCS joined Rochester’s Cornerstone Group, Genesis Housing, and state and local officials to cut the ribbon on the new Marketplace Senior Apartments in Henrietta. The community offers 150 affordable units for older adults. CCFCS will provide supportive services for residents in 45 apartments, allowing them to age in place safely and comfortably.  Marketplace Senior Apartments is located on the site of the former Marketplace Mall.

Cura Awards

We are so pleased to accept the 2024 Cura Award, Outstanding Organization, from NYS Kinship Navigator. We are thrilled to announce our 2024 Employee of the Year is Seana Denning, Director of Children’s Health Homes. The winner of our annual Marv Mich Salt & Light Award is Nay Thorn, Program Manager in our Refugee and Immigration Services Department. Seana and Nay represent the best of CCFCS. Empty Bowls

More than 420 people turned out for our 21st annual Empty Bowls event in November! This year we raised more than $50,000 – money that will directly support CCFCS clients through our many programs and services. Thank you for making Empty Bowls a success!
