Happy December to you! It is difficult to believe the end of 2025 is upon us. The mild fall reinforces my surprise!
As I reflect upon the past six months in my role as dean, I am increasingly steadfast in my excitement about what we have accomplished and what we will accomplish together. BILSA is full of incredibly dedicated faculty and staff, and our students are curious, hardworking, honest, and innovative. Some of my favorite highlights from these past months include: meeting alumni and learning about their love of the college and their commitment to ensuring future students have the same opportunities to learn, grow and engage in applied hands-on learning; continuing engagement in the Dairy Innovation Hub; meeting with the ACBSP accreditation peer reviewers with our business program; attending amazing recruitment events, including Construction Career Day, Medical Exploration Day, CDE competitions for FFA, and many other student visit days that help students and parents see our labs, visit our farm, and understand the value a UW-Platteville education provides for individuals and their families; visiting department and school meetings and talking with faculty and staff; and hearing from students why they love UW-Platteville and how our curricula supports their career goals.
