We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Cayuga Health. For several months members of our YMCA Board and leadership have been working together with the Cayuga Health team to identify a number of opportunities to better serve the health needs of our community. This will potentially include chronic disease management classes, active older adult education classes, biometric screening, sports performance and injury prevention clinics, wellness screenings, flu clinics, and much more! This is just a taste of what this partnership will offer YMCA members and Cayuga Health staff, patients, and their families. We look forward to the months and years ahead as we continue to grow and evolve this partnership.

It is no secret that there is a national labor shortage that is affecting businesses in every industry across the country right now. The Y is now at a point where key services and programs will not be offered or hours will be drastically reduced unless we are able to hire additional staff; especially lifeguards and school age child care staff. Please encourage anyone who may be interested in working with us to apply.

Current openings: www.ithacaymca.com/careers

Last call to register for our lifeguard training course. Please contact Alyson Murphy at amurphy@ithacaymca.com before the close of the holiday weekend and she will do her best to include you in the class.

You may be able to take the course at no cost if you are able to commit to working as a lifeguard here at the Y. Contact Alyson ASAP to discuss this possibility.

Registration is open for our School Age Child Care programs (Before/After School)! We have programs at Groton Elementary, Cassavant Elementary (serving Dryden School District), Newfield Elementary, and On-site at the YMCA (serving Lansing and Ithaca City School Districts) serving grades K-6 and Pre-K in select locations. The YMCA is nationally recognized as a premiere provider of school age programming and our local programs live up to that reputation. We look forward to welcoming your child this Fall!

Some classes are fee based and require advance registration such as Octagon and AMPD Strong: Kettlebell. Spaces will fill quickly! Registration is open for these classes. We strongly encourage advance registration for all aquatic group fitness classes.

Junior (ages 13-17)             $10.00
