TUESDAY
Divine Design
A mentoring class for young wives and mothers taught by older women, based on Titus 2:4. Divine Design is a community of women who are encouraged to love their husbands and children, to be pure and godly, so that the Word of God will not be dishonored. Practical lessons will be taught in homemaking (cooking, organization, time management, and crafting), as well as a Bible study lesson, and time for prayer in small group. Divine Design helps mothers find meaning in the mundane, great purpose in the practical, and supports them as they seek to grow their families toward Christ. Moms are encouraged to develop relationships outside the class with playdates and other activities.
Led by Clair Russell, Lorie Rutledge, Christina Osborne
West Tower 214, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM / Begins September 10

Joy of Living: Romans
Embedded in the pages of Paul’s letter to the Romans is the power to change individual lives and entire societies. It is a power that we all long to experience as followers of Jesus Christ. Romans will change your life, just as it has changed thousands of lives through the centuries.

SonShip: Come Follow Me
SonShip is a small discipleship group. The group members are focused on helping each other mature in their walk with God as His children. Using a curriculum written by Jody Mayhew, the group listens for His voice as He speaks to them through scripture. Each week, group members share about what God is teaching them. God continues to reveal Himself as the group prays together and experiences the transformation brought about by the Holy Spirit.

Precept AM: Galatians – Who Has Bewitched You? Why and How?
As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian? All of it or just part of it? Who is right? How will we know? God used the apostle, Paul, to write a letter to some churches that were struggling with this issue, a letter that still speaks today. Its message clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage.

Precept PM: God Searches For a Heart Fully His (1 Kings 15 – 2 Kings 1; 2 Chronicles 14-20)
Neither Solomon, his son Rehoboam, nor his son Abijam followed God fully, nor did Jeroboam in Israel. Their hearts were divided. Would God ever find anyone to serve Him like David? Would He ever find one whose heart was fully His? God says that we are to love Him with all of our heart. Is that really possible? This course has the answer.

Women on Wednesday PM – Anxious for Nothing, by John MacArthur
It seems we’re all anxious for something. Stress has become a part of daily life. We worry about our jobs, our relationships, our families, and everything in between. Based on solid biblical insights, this study shares how we can overcome uncertainty, defeat doubt, and experience true freedom from anxiety. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Are you looking for a Sunday morning class?
This might be for you!
The “Lydia” Sunday School class at Tallowood is named for this Bible character because like Lydia, many of us come to know the Lord for the first time as an adult. We all come to the table at different points in our faith journey, and we want to encourage each other as we grow together. Many in our class are career women, but there is a blend of just about every career, life-stage, marital status and political perspective.
We welcome YOU to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM, in West Tower Room 202!
