Good morning! With back-to-school season right around the corner, Clemson researchers provide helpful tips for parents and students. A team of faculty, staff and volunteers is telling the story of Fort Rutledge; Learn more about the work Clemson is doing to protect wild tigers. 

• K-12 elementary schools across the Upstate will return to the classroom next week. During this back-to-school season, Clemson researchers provide insights to support parents and students as they start the school year.

• Clemson University sits on land that once housed Fort Rutledge. Now, 250 years later, a team of faculty, staff and volunteers is preparing to unveil new features to tell the story of the fort and the people who lived around it. 

• Assistant professor Daniel Jones received a National Science Foundation CAREER award to study gene duplication in the sunflower family. The research could ultimately help improve plant growth and development.

Today is International Tiger Day! Clemson University is one of four land-grant universities in the Tigers United University Consortium, teaming up to educate people about the need to protect wild tigers. Learn more about the work Clemson is doing to save our mascot.
