Important Dates and Deadlines |

July 31: Deadline to sign the off-campus event waiver
- August 1:
- August 4: Required forms due
- August 16: Deadline to complete the Year One College Behavior Profile
- August 19: Move-in Day
- August 19-23: Transfer & Exchange Fall Welcome
- August 25: First day of classes
- September 1: Labor Day (no classes)
- October 4-7: Fall Break (no classes)
- November 26-30: Thanksgiving Break (no classes)
- December 5: Last day of classes
- December 8-17: Reading period and final exams

Each month this summer, there will be important items you need to complete to ensure you are as prepared as possible for your start at WashU. Some items on the June checklist include:

If you are planning to live on campus, submit your housing application in the Housing Portal as soon as possible. Visit the Residential Life website for helpful information about the application process.
The most common on-campus and off-campus housing options are described in detail in our Exchange Student Guide.

|
|
|
All full-time undergraduate students are required to purchase a meal plan. If you are living in Residential Life-managed housing, you will select your meal plan in the Housing Portal.
Students living off-campus in Residential Life or non-Residential Life housing are eligible for the off-campus meal plan. Students living in Village East, Millbrook, or an apartment are eligible for the apartment meal plan.
Visit Dining Services to learn about meal plans and on-campus dining options.

You should already be enrolled in courses. You can view your schedule on Workday. Please reach out to your exchange advisor with questions about your course schedule. You can view course sections on Workday by selecting your semester of study and academic school.
|
|
|
|
If you receive academic accommodations for any learning, mental health or physical disabilities from your home university, or if you require other accommodations due to an identified disability, complete a New Student Application with Disability Resources.
|
|
|
| Move-in Day and Fall Welcome |
All exchange students must arrive at WashU by Tuesday, August 19 at 5 p.m. CT. Students living in Residential Life-managed housing will move in between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All new exchange students will be required to check in with Student Transitions & Engagement. Find us on the Village Lawn at 6 p.m. to kick off Transfer & Exchange Fall Welcome, an orientation program to welcome you to the WashU community.
