Dear Fellow Graduate,
On behalf of the Nominating Committee of the Fordham Law Alumni Association (“FLAA”), we ask your assistance in identifying emerging leaders within our alumni community for service on the FLAA Board.
The FLAA is especially interested in seeking candidates for the Board from a wide range of backgrounds to reflect the diverse composition of the Law School’s alumni, including from a wide range of class years, geographic and practice areas, and both the JD and Non-JD programs.
Board of Directors:
Board of Director positions are for a three-year term. Board members can serve for three such terms. This year, we have up to five seats to fill.
HOW TO MAKE A NOMINATION:
Self-nominations are welcome, and you are permitted to nominate more than one individual. The nominee must be an alumnus of Fordham Law School and demonstrate the School's mission of "In the Service of Others." The FLAA looks for evidence of giving back to Fordham through financial support and volunteering to help the School and its students.
Before submitting a nomination, it is important that you speak with the candidate to confirm their interest in serving on the FLAA Board of Directors. When making a nomination, we request that you enter the following in the button below:
- submit a brief statement about your nominee
- attach the nominee’s resume
- submit nominee's prior/related experience serving as a volunteer for the Law School or the University
- include relevant media coverage on the nominee
The deadline for nominations is Monday, November 18, 2024, and this deadline will not be extended.
The FLAA Executive Committee will evaluate all nominations and share its recommendations with the Nominating Committee for consideration. The Nominating Committee will host interviews with alumni short-listed after a review of the materials. As tradition holds, a voice vote will take place at the Annual Luncheon on Friday, March 7, 2025.
