MATCH - Pre-Med Mentorship Opportunity with GW Med Students
Looking for guidance through your pre-med journey? Look no further! MATCH (Mentors Advancing Tomorrow's Clinicians and Healers) is a student organization at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences that pairs current medical students at GW with pre-med students in the DC metropolitan area who are underrepresented in medicine and interested in pursuing a career as a physician.
Who is eligible?
-GWU students and alumni who are underrepresented in medicine (URiM) as defined by the AAMC
-URiM students seeking Early Selection and AMCAS application support and/or MCAT guidance
What to expect?
-Meet with your MATCH mentor remotely between once a semester and once a month depending on your pre-med stage
-Receive one-on-one mentorship on your medical school application including work and activities section, personal statement, secondaries, and interviews
-Receive guidance and personalized study tips for MCAT preparation

AAMC Virtual Medical School Fair
October 29-30, 2025
The AAMC Virtual Medical School Fair enables aspiring applicants and premeds like you to connect with medical schools and admissions experts from around the U.S. In addition, you can attend information sessions led by admissions officers, current medical students, and other experts. Since 2016, over 80,000 aspiring medical students have attended this free event and interacted with experts, medical students, and admissions officers.
Attendees will also receive a 15% discount on a one-year or two-year MSAR subscription. (Codes will be sent to attendees by Friday, October 31. Attendees who login on either day will recieve a code.)
Note: In order to register, you must create a new user name and password. The fair platform is separate from other AAMC applications.

This fall the fair will take place over two days: October 29-30. Please note: We understand that many attendees are students or working professionals with busy schedules. Feel free to login and exit the fair as your schedule allows.

5th annual Future Leaders in Surgery Symposium (FLXSUS)
FLXSUS is a national virtual symposium series offering undergraduate students the chance to explore the exciting fields of orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, and otolaryngology.
FLXSUS was created to expand access to surgical education and mentorship for students of all backgrounds. Whether you are just starting your pre-health journey or actively pursuing a surgical career, this virtual conference series is designed to inspire, prepare, and connect you with renowned leaders.

Pediatric Medical Assistant - University of Maryland Faculty Physicians
This position is for pre-health graduates. Under direct clinical supervision of the on-site physician, assists in the delivery of patient care. Performs delegated medical tasks, assists physician and nursing staff with patient care and may perform clerical duties. Where electronic system is in use, will utilize the EMR for documentation purposes. Paid Clinical Dermatology Medical Assistant Internship
Well-established dermatology practice and surgery center in Chevy Chase, MD is looking for motivated and energetic college graduates for medical assisting position. Will train but must have completed core pre-med curriculum and received BA or BS.
Applicant will directly assist providers by taking patient history, assisting in minor surgical and cosmetic procedures, applying wound dressings, scribing clinical notes, and providing patient education. Participation in clinical research may also be possible.
Applicant should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated with excellent attention to detail. This is an opportunity to increase your knowledge of medicine and develop clinical skills.
