Hi All, Welcome to Summer!
First: Congratulations to the youth who competed at the state horse, dairy and livestock competitions this week. It was also great to see over 150 youth and adults at the pre-sale livestock meeting. Thanks to everyone who has stepped up to fill some vacant roles.
Second: There will not be a Friday Focus next week (July 2) as many families will be taking off to celebrate. Happy July 4th! I wish you all a safe and happy 4th of July and lots of great memories being made. If your club is doing a parade, remember any drivers must be authorized and contact me ASAP for details. Thanks to Lomira Clover Leaves 4-H Club for working with us on the process this week.
Third: The ‘’Wisconsin 4-H News’’ is coming to your inbox soon. Get the latest information on statewide 4-H programs, events, deadlines and celebrations regularly in one spot. Emails will be sent out on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month to the email address you use in 4-HOnline. Look for the first “Wisconsin 4-H News” on July 1st!
Fourth: Executive Board/ Endowment Fund Nominations - Encourage people from other clubs to serve on the board. Executive board members can only serve for two terms at a time, with a total of four years. There are four vacant spots for the board next year and four vacant spots for the youth next year. This rule is put in place so that the same people are not serving the board and new opinions are being put out there. The youth have to be in 7th grade or higher in order to be nominated. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Marie Witzel 4-H Youth Development Educator marie.witzel@wisc.edu 920-210-3080 I am following Wisconsin Department of Health Services, UW-Madison, and federal guidelines due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. I am working remotely and am also available by phone at 920-210-3080.

Here’s what we need from you:
From NOW until September 15, 4-H youth and families can share how they or their clubs live out the Wisconsin 4-H Movement with Chris Clover.
Check out the Chris Clover Intro video HERE!
Details: Open to all Wisconsin 4-H members, clubs and groups. Each individual, club or group can enter up to six submissions - one submission per 4-H Movement Value. The Fair will be the same as it has been in years past. For the Silent Auction at the fair, only 4-H Club baskets will be auctioned. If the club could bring the basket to the Youth Building on the Monday or Tuesday of the Fair, that would be great.
STOCK THE POND! FISH POND PRIZES NEEDEDDonations of small prizes are needed for the 4-H Fish Pond.
A couple of clubs have brought in prizes already, but we cannot have water guns. There are a lot of items that are geared mainly towards girls. There is a need for prizes that are gender neutral and for boys. If people are willing to take things home and wrap that will save time for Janet.
