Trip to the Granada Theater in Santa Barbara, February 28, 2025

As I sit here composing this letter to you, I’m watching the oak trees blow around on this gusty day. Although this wind means work for me, cleaning up mounds of oak tassels and spraying off chartreuse pollen, I am comforted that this is an annual event, right along with the Lady Banks roses and the blooming rosemary that occurs each year at this time. Continuity is a necessary thing!
Speaking of continuity, this year the Ojai Festival celebrates its 80th year of existence. And, not far behind, is the Women’s Committee in its 71st year! We have plans for both of these anniversaries that we will share with you as soon as details are firmed up. In the meantime, we’re diligently working on finding our four homes for the Holiday Home Tour & Marketplace. We still have some openings, so if you have admired a home on your daily walk, or know of an outstanding place that fits our model, please let us know about it. We’re not shy about asking potential homeowners if they would like to be a part of this event which also has an impressive continuity.
One more thing—this May, we are sending out via email and snail mail your membership renewal form for you to fill out and return. We’ve made it easy to complete either online or if you prefer, filling out on paper and mailing back to us. A very short survey will accompany this form. We sure would appreciate it if you would complete it, as well. This survey will allow us to know what you expect of the Women’s Committee, what you want to do as a member, and how we can foster the continuity of the Ojai Festival Women’s Committee into the future.

BRAVO is helping to build a Music Wall at Meiners Oaks Early Education School. We have a need for any spatulas or wooden or plastic utensils that have a hole in the handle for hanging on the wall. If you have anything please bring to the Festival Office (201 S Signal St, open between 10AM and 5PM weekdays) by April 23.

Winds, Strings, and Wings
|
Our friends at the Ojai Raptor Center invite you to Winds, Strings, and Wings - a melodic fundraiser for the raptors! Each spring, Ojai Raptor Center cares for hundreds of baby raptors—many orphaned, injured, or displaced. This benefit concert raises vital funds to help these wild birds grow strong, learn to fly, and return to the skies where they belong. Join us for an unforgettable concert to support their journey back to the skies!
