Friend,
In the midst of the last few weeks of the semester, a beloved campus tradition recently came as a reminder to pause during this often stressful time in the semester. Pinwheel Day, a day in which Founders Green is magically blanketed by pinwheels overnight, dates back to 1998, thanks to a conversation between a first-year and an alumnae admissions officer. Check out the photo gallery from this year→
This past Friday also marked Major Declaration Day for sophomores, a Haverford tradition dating back to 2016. Each spring, during this annual event, sophomores take turns at a microphone outside VCAM to shout their chosen major for everyone to hear. Making this academic decision a moment of celebration.
Moments like these are what make the Haverford community so special. Thank you, as always, for the partnership you bring to your students' experience here. We are so proud of everything this community has accomplished this semester.
