NHSA News
Guest Speaker at 2021 Risk Summit
NHSA Executive Director Victor Valentine was recently a panelist for the session “Forum on Relational Resilience” during Nonprofit Risk Management Center's 2021 Risk Summit that occurred earlier this month. The Summit provided a great opportunity to talk about the network of NHSA members and how many have responded to the resilience-related challenges brought on by COVID, including relying more on technology for coordination and communications while implementing a higher-touch engagement strategy to support current members and recruit new ones. Recordings are available to attendees for 30 days after the conference.
DON’T MISS TODAY: On the Road to Unlocked!
Today is the fifth session of On the Road to Unlocked!: Investing in Our Children and Our Communities, focused on trauma of youth in the juvenile justice system. If you can join last-minute from 12:00 - 1:30 PM ET, register now. Watch for a recording of today’s session to come out in the next few weeks. Past sessions can also be viewed on-demand. The series, co-sponsored by NHSA, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., and The Social Justice Initiative at Bryn Mawr College, highlights how a community-based continuum of care can serve as an alternative to ineffective youth justice approaches that disproportionately harm Black and Brown youth.
