Dear Traveler:

Now is the very witching hour. The sun is down. The moon is up. I have wheeled the mountain bike out of the castle crypts and have attired myself in my favorite bike shorts (black), t-shirt (black), cape (black) and helmet (reflective, because Safety First!) in order to take to the darkest trails where I might embody my legendary reputation as “Terror of the Carpathians and Scourge of the Single-Track.”

Ah yes! You can run, but you cannot hide . . . from Halloween in Transylvania County, where they put the “creep” in Creeptastic, the “spooky” in Spooktacular and the “extreme fun” in all family- and undead-friendly events. I’ll be around, as they say, so keep an eye out on the dark nights, lest you wander too far off the trail, into the deepest shadows where you might find me in the moonlight, fangs glinting, as I drink rounds of Dale’s Pale Ale, Brevard Brewing’s Red Ale and Ecusta’s Dead Drift Pale Ale with my cycling buddies, Frankenstein and the Wolfman. Who knows what evil and unpredictable plans we may put into motion? Could be shenanigans. Could be fly-fishing. Who knows?

Until then, I remain forever (literally) yours,
Count Adventurist
