George Weyrens Scholarship |
Mariana, daughter of Pablo Hernandez Reyes, Facilities Services Custodian, was awarded the George Weyrens Scholarship. Mariana is a student at the University of Oregon and is currently studying abroad at Poitiers University in France. Each school year, the Weyrens Scholarship provides scholarships for full time Facilities Services employees within Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) or their family members, to further their education in whatever field of interest they would like to pursue at the University of Oregon.

13th Avenue Schematic Design Open House |
When: March 14, 11:30-1
Where: Erb Memorial Union, main entrance lobby
Campus Planning and Facilities Management is hosting an open house in the Erb Memorial Union to share information and seek feedback for a schematic design of 13th Avenue. In 1970, 13th Avenue was closed to regular automobile traffic yet over 50 years later much of it still looks like a traditional street. In 2019 a conceptual design for 13th Avenue was completed to be a model of excellence in campus open-space design reflecting the Campus Plan principles and redefine the student experience for this primary corridor through campus. The schematic design builds upon the earlier design work and will establish the shared vision for the future of 13th Avenue through the UO campus.

| VPFA Student Interns Tour Power Plant |
Paul Langley and Rick Tabor took VPFA Student Interns on a tour of the Power Plant in February. It is a great opportunity for students to learn more about the role that Utilities and Energy, and CPFM, plays on campus. You may see many of the students around CPFM this spring as they complete their internships in various units.

Hi all, we're very grateful to custodial for cleaning up the the major stain in Klamath. Thanks so much! Vickie De Rose, Department of Chemistry
| Bob, Jeremiah, Jeff, and the entire Work Control Team,
I wanted to send a note of gratitude. The landlord of Thompson’s University Center has expressed their appreciation on how quickly our CPFM team responded to the multiple leaks, placed driers where needed, cleaned up multiple broken ceiling tiles, tended to electrical issues, etc.
I appreciate all of you for the time and effort you put in to monitoring and completing maintenance issues, and thank you Work Control for helping to get the information pushed out to our facilities team. I know you all were helping with multiple calls throughout campus. - Melinda Seeley, Campus Planning
