Good morning! We are one week away from Workday’s launch at Clemson. Learn who to go to with questions, how to escalate system issues and where to find training.

Each budget center across the University has a Local Resource Group made up of team members ready to answer Workday questions. These "friendly faces" are available to help faculty and staff find resources and training and connect to additional support, if needed. Local Resource Groups are searchable by budget center on the Workday website.
|
|
|
|
With Workday’s launch, HR, payroll and finance teams will also streamline and simplify how they support customers across campus. Beginning July 1, these teams will transition to the use of ServiceNow to manage faculty and staff inquiries, questions and requests.
- Local Resource Groups are the first tier of support for employee questions. If a Local Resource Group member can’t support an inquiry, they will direct faculty and staff to the appropriate form within ServiceNow.

Instructor-led training is happening across the University and the state to prepare faculty and staff to complete their job functions in Workday. Employees enrolled in instructor-led sessions will receive an email from workdaytraining@clemson.edu.

- Workday is intuitive. With a simple search, faculty and staff can start an expense report, find a previous report or complete necessary approvals. No more digging through menus or workflows, faculty and staff can quickly and efficiently connect to the necessary tasks and resources.

With Workday, Clemson will transition from the legacy Chart of Accounts to a new, modernized Foundation Data Model. In the FDM, departments are represented as “cost centers.” As we transition to the FDM, historic department numbers that faculty and staff may associate with their area will change to reflect a new cost center number naming convention in Workday.
- When Workday launches on July 1, the Workday website will include a tool to help faculty and staff translate legacy department numbers to Workday cost centers.

Workday requires an enhanced two-factor authentication process through Duo that uses a four-digit verification code. Browsers and operating systems must also meet certain requirements. Faculty and staff can use this Version Check Tool to test how to log into Workday.
