Stephanie Urbina Jones to Perform at Gueros Oct. 31

Tularosa CD Release Performance Featuring Classic Country with Mariachis Celebrating Día de los Muertos Live on #1 Radio Station in Austin
Nashville, TN – October 10, 2018 -- Stephanie Urbina Jones will take the stage at Guero's in Austin, TX on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 6 PM to celebrate the release of her classic country mariachi album, Tularosa. The night will also recognize Día de los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead." The performance will be broadcast live on Sun Radio and on eight stations across Texas simultaneously.  David Beck's “Tejano Weekend” will start the show at 6 PM and Urbina Jones will perform starting at 7 PM.

"I am grateful that host David Arnsberger with “Texas Radio Live” invited me to headline this special night on Oct. 31 celebrating not only the CD release of Tularosa, but also making it a night to remember by honoring Día de los Muertos," Jones says. "A traditional Mexican holiday, 'Día de los Muertos,' is a powerful way to remember, honor, and celebrate the legacy and love ones who have passed. By creating a public altar (ofrenda) at the foot of the stage, we invite the public to bring pictures to honor their loved ones. We will also use the night to honor and celebrate the lives and music of artists who have touched our hearts and left a legacy in music. From Patsy Cline to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Townes Van Zant to Johnny Cash and Selena.
Audience members are encouraged to bring pictures and memorabilia of their favorite artists and loved ones. Candles will be available to light in honor of loved ones.  Tularosa, an inspired marriage of country classics and mariachi rhythms, honors and celebrates great artists, many of whom who have passed away, and this altar will pay tribute to them for their unique lives and musical styles.
Urbina Jones, a San Antonio native, is well-known for celebrating her Hispanic heritage through her music, which can be described as Latin-rooted Americana, or "Texicana country folk-rock."
With Tularosa, Jones is on a roll, celebrating two cultures and honoring the past. Jones and a band of mariachis joined Grammy-winning western swing band The Time Jumpers, wowing the sold-out audience at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville. And Jones realized a lifelong dream as she made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Oct. 2, sharing her country music with chili peppers and receiving a standing ovation from the audience.
