Midwest Regional SACNAS Conference
The University of Chicago's Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) chapter will be hosting a Midwest Regional Conference. The theme is Identity and Inclusion in STEM: Empowering Across Boundaries. The intent is to help students understand that STEM fields are not out of reach for disadvantaged groups by celebrating the diversity of scientists across various STEM fields.
This is a great event for not only students but also professionals as well. There will be a platform for presentation of cutting edge research, as well as networking and professional development opportunities.
The UIC SACNAS chapter will be coordinating transportation arrangements for those interested. The event will take place at the University of Chicago Saturday April 6th, 2019 from 8:00am - 9:00pm. So make sure to register!
