Dear friend,

Upon receipt of the reflection papers from the first retreat, we became painfully aware of some unclear communication on our part about the required formatting. There has been much confusion on the part of readers, as they have been unable to open many of your papers and/or unable to post comments. In our rebranding process we made an intentional effort to make the instructions more concise, but ended up leaving out criticial information!

Thank you for your patience with us as we work with you to try and make this process one that works for you and your reader. Please make sure to read through this email carefully before sending in your next paper.

  1. Your paper needs to be saved in a WORD document. Many of you saved it as a PDF, in Notes or in Pages. These programs make it difficult or impossible for your reader to read and comment on your papers.
  2. There should not be content in the body of your emails.
    1. The books you have read during the quarter should be listed at the end of your paper.
    2. If for some reason you have a specific comment or question for your reader, you should write that at the bottom of your paper as well.

Please make sure to continue to follow the format of naming your papers that is described in your During the Quarter...
  • Save document with your LAST NAME, RP (reflection paper) and retreat # - ex: LastNameRP1
  • Subject of your email should be the same as your document name – LastNameRPretreat#
Email your reflection papers to tc15papers@transformingcenter.org no later than the Friday prior to the next retreat (February 8th).

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any questions regarding the information above, please respond to this email.

Grace and peace,
Kelly Kastens
