Thank you again to all of you for your continued cooperation and support of our testing protocols and safety precautions - we appreciate your sacrifices to keep our school open during this ongoing pandemic.
Moving forward, we will continue PCR pool testing every Wednesday for grades K-8, but we have added a second testing requirement for all students and staff.
Today we are sending home three rapid tests with each child. Look in your student’s backpack this afternoon to retrieve those tests. We are asking that you test your student every Sunday night or Monday morning for at least the next three weeks (we may extend this depending on infection rates). Once you have tested your student, immediately fill out the weekly Health Attestation Form (sent every Sunday evening) before coming to school Monday morning.
You may notice that there is an expired date on these tests. We have been assured by the State that they are still valid, and our control swab tests corroborated that. In order to do the tests accurately, please take a moment to read over these instructions for the rapid tests before administering them. Thank you in advance for your help.
We know that Omicron is prevalent right now, and we expect to see positive test results, especially in the next month. It is our hope, however, that we can contain the spread in our community so that our school can continue to run smoothly and with minimal absences.
