Exodus 14:21-22
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,  and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.
New International Version (NIV)
Two preachers in suits came to visit her in the hospital.  At the same time.  My friend who was in the hospital said, “Two pastors visiting me at the same time.  I must be ‘done for.’”  Have you ever thought you were done for?  No way out of your dilemma?

The Israelites found themselves between the Egyptian Army and the Red Sea.  How could they possibly escape?  Then God who accompanied them as a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day protected them.  When Moses obeyed God, the Red Sea parted and the people crossed on dry ground.

As long as God is near, there is always hope.  He is near to you now.  You are not done for!  As my friend Pastor Colbert prayed in Galveston, “God, you make a way when there seems to be no way.”  Wait for the Lord and watch what he does!

Pray with me:
Father, you know the things which pressure us today.  They leave us no way out.  We can’t go to the left or right, so we will have to depend on you.  You are our only hope.  Thank you for leading us to the place you want us to be.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
This year we focus our Every Day with Jesus readings on Jesus’ story.  With references to Tallowood's Read Through the Bible in 2018 daily reading plan, let's focus our undivided attention on Jesus and follow where he lead. He will not fail. Neither will we!

Joyfully,
