Concourse: Rooted and Rising – Cultivating Flourishing for Staff & Students Join us for our first Concourse on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. in Barfield. This half-day gathering will feature guest speaker Andy Crouch, with reflections from The Life We’re Looking For. Concourse offers space for professional development, connection, and exploring how we as staff can cultivate flourishing for ourselves and our students.

Blood Drive – This year, the Baylor Health Center challenged TCU to a bit of friendly competition to see who could get the most donors. Sadly, we came in second, but are content knowing that we bled our opponent dry (j/k). In all seriousness, we are thrilled that together, we were able to secure 444 units of blood that will be used to save lives in our two cities. TCU had 270 donations and Baylor 174. Thanks to the team at the Baylor Health Center (especially Uriah Yarbrough) for the immense effort that led to this success.

The Baylor University Counseling Center hosted its annual Mental Health Awareness Day, centered on the theme “Be Kind to Your Neighbor.” Students, faculty, and staff came together to create bag charms, decorate pieces of a giant community puzzle, and share their voices at the Neighbor Mic, reflecting on how to care for themselves and others. Campus partners offered resources and encouragement, fostering connection and community across campus. The day inspired meaningful conversations and reminded us that small acts of kindness can strengthen the resilience and well-being of the entire Baylor family.
