Funding Opportunities: GTNEXT Award 2025
|
The Office of Technology Licensing is pleased to offer the 3rd cycle of GT NEXT awards. This award is granted for innovative ideas brought forward by graduate students and postdocs and aims to acknowledge and support commitments made to research and development. The deadline to submit your application is June 30th. Award recipients will be announced on August 1st.

National Geographic Society (ROAR) Program
|
Are you a grad student passionate about wildlife, conservation, or the environment? Apply for the National Geographic Society’s ROAR (Restoration of Animal Range) grant for a chance to receive up to $125,000 in research funding. The Rapid Outcomes from Agricultural Research (ROAR) program deploys urgent funding to support research and outreach in response to emerging or unanticipated threats to the nation’s food supply or agricultural systems.

Rapid Response Bridge Funding Program
|
Had an NSF grant recently canceled? The Rapid Response Bridge Funding Program offers $25,000 grants to support scholars affected by sudden federal funding cuts. This opportunity—backed by Spencer, Kapor, Sloan, and William T. Grant Foundations—is designed to help continue critical work in STEM, education, AI/CS, graduate education, and inequality.

Wellness Opportunities: Grad Student Support Offered at CMHCR
|
Summer is a great time to take advantage of on-campus services from the Center for Mental Health Care and Resources while your schedule may be more flexible.
CMHCR is offering a new group counseling option for the summer semester called the Graduate Thesis Support Group, which is specifically designed to support doctoral students through their dissertation journey. We also offer Graduate Men’s and Women’s groups, individual and couples counseling, and substance use and recovery services. You can schedule an intake appointment by calling 404.894.2575 or by walking into our office in the Smithgall Student Services Building Suite 238 during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

| Traveling Abroad this Summer: Do THIS First

Traveling abroad for the summer? Don’t forget to book your appointment with the Stamps Health Services Immunization and Travel Clinic before your trip. The clinic offers travel health information and vaccinations for students, faculty, and staff who are traveling internationally. We recommend that you make an appointment six to eight weeks ahead of your trip. Visit the clinic webpage for more information.
