I missed the deadline for uploading my proof of vaccination. Now what?
You must take action now. It is vital that you be in compliance with NYU's
vaccination and upload requirements before the start of fall semester and your return to campus.
Faculty and employees who haven’t complied with NYU’s requirement — either by uploading proof of vaccination or receiving an exemption — will be subject to measures such as restriction from certain NYU facilities; restriction from certain NYU events; and withholding of any discretionary compensation increases (including 2021 COVID-19 Salary Adjustment and annual merit increases), among other consequences. In addition, they will be required to test weekly.
So please act promptly.
- The best and most important thing you can do is follow the lead set by tens of thousands of your fellow NYUers — promptly get vaccinated and upload your proof of vaccination. It’s not too late.
- Even if you have received only the first dose of a two-dose vaccine, upload it now. It will let us know you are making a good faith effort, and we will deem you “partially compliant,” which means you will be able to access NYU buildings (as long as you participate in ongoing testing) as you move towards full compliance with the University’s requirement (make sure to upload again after the second dose of any two-dose vaccine to complete the process).
- If you have a good reason for an exemption — a valid, qualifying medical condition or strongly held religious beliefs that would prevent vaccination — start the exemption process promptly. Employees with pending exemption requests will not be permitted to enter NYU buildings until their exemption is approved after August 16. There is no partial exemption status for employees whose exemptions have not been approved. Turnaround time will be dependent on the volume of requests received.
