Good morning! State health officials confirmed a case of measles on main campus and employees are encouraged to locate their immunization records. Students gave back to local nonprofits on Martin Luther King Jr. Day; The Presidential Search Committee met, announcing an overarching timeline.

What to know today:

Over the weekend, Clemson officials were informed by the South Carolina Department of Public Health of a confirmed case of measles of an individual affiliated with the University. Provost Cole Smith provided instructors with guidelines if they or someone in their class is impacted.

According to the Department of Health, the measles vaccine (MMR and MMRV) is the best way to protect yourself and others against measles. University employees are encouraged to locate their immunization records if available, which could considerably reduce quarantine time if exposed.

Clemson students spent yesterday volunteering at four local nonprofits as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, gathering afterwards for a community lunch with local partners and University leaders.

Clemson University’s Presidential Search Committee met Friday to continue the process of identifying Clemson’s 16th president. Led by Committee Chair Cheri Phyfer ’93, the committee received reports on feedback from a variety of community members over the past month and announced an overarching timeline for the search.

STEM South Carolina is seeking college and professional volunteers for its "STEM Saturday" event on January 31 at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School. Undergraduate volunteers who participate receive a $50 stipend.

The Clemson Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the designation of Honorary Alumnus/a of Clemson University. Any alumnus/a of Clemson University may nominate. The deadline for nominations is January 31.
