Oregon Takes Home NTA HonorsTravel Oregon's Lisa Itel, Manager of Global Sales – The Americas, Oceania, accepted the Gold Award for North America Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for state/province. Travel Portland was honored with the Gold Award for North America DMO for city/region. And, Jennifer Morkert from Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites received a Silver Award for independent/boutique hotel property.
At this year's annual convention, NTA Travel Exchange, Oregon's delegation included 24 Oregon suppliers and DMOs and conducted more than 600 business appointments building future Oregon travel trade product or managing existing product. See the list of awardees here.

Submit Your Oregon Travel & Tourism Award Nominations
Do you know someone making a difference in the travel and tourism industry? Tourism organizations, businesses, communities, regions and individuals are all eligible to be nominated for their 2016 accomplishments. Recognition will be awarded in the areas of: heritage tourism, partnership, volunteerism, tourism development, international sales, public relations, advertising, social media, marketing and enhancing Oregon’s natural beauty and/or outdoor recreation.

Register for a 2018 Travel Oregon 101 Seminar
The Travel Oregon 101 seminar provides an opportunity to learn about Oregon's travel & tourism industry, designed to benefit visitor-related businesses, organizations and communities. Participants will gain insight into the opportunities available through Travel Oregon and local, regional, national and international industry partners.
In 2018, we will take the Travel Oregon 101 seminar around the state, visiting every region. In addition, we will be hosting several statewide webinars. Locations on the schedule for the beginning of 2018 include Eugene, Grants Pass and Bandon.
