TEAM GREEN SPOTLIGHT

Grab your gloves and lend a helping hand for the 24th Annual Hands On Nashville Day on Saturday, September 19th! Rally your friends and family to become part of Nashville’s largest day of service benefiting Metro Nashville Public Schools! As a volunteer, you’ll complete “done-in-a-day” improvement projects including painting and landscaping to help make the places where our children learn and play a little brighter. You can form your own HON Day team or join an existing team like Lightning 100's Team Green Adventures!

Nutrition Workshop: Where's the Beef? 
Wednesday, September 16th at 6pm
For your protein pleasure we're working with the Nashville Farmers' Market to introduce you to some of the area's finest local meat farmers. Learn about the impact of hormone and hormone-free meats, ask questions about farm animal living environments, the types and cuts of meat available in meat CSAs, and how to choose a local farmer. Beef, chicken, and pork options will be discussed.

Fiery Gizzard reRoute Trail Building
Sunday, September 27th
The Fiery Gizzard Trail is one of Tennessee's most popular trails, connecting Grundy Forest and Foster Falls. However, the middle section of the trail has been in land disputes for many years. Starting December 1st, the land will no longer be accessible to the public. In an effort to save the trail as a whole, the trail will be rerouted. We hope you'll join us for a last chance Day Hike to Raven Point this weekend (Sept 6th) and also volunteer with us on Sept 27th! Camping option available.
