Your Summer Preparation for Christendom
We're so excited to see you tomorrow for Move-in Day! I am re-sending you the step-by-step instructions for tomorrow. And in case there is any confusion, remember that campus will open at 10:00 am, and Mass for new students and their families will be celebrated at 4:00 pm in Christ the King Chapel.
The registration window will be from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. If you need to arrive later than that, please email me so that I can arrange to give you a temporary ID card to access your residence hall. And don't hesitate to contact me with any other concerns before you arrive. Safe travels!
God bless,
Mr. Tim Cook
Vice President for Student Life & Dean of Students
Step #1 Drive to the North Entrance
Before driving to your residence hall, please proceed first to check in at the John Paul the Great Student Center. Pull into campus at the second entrance past the Chapel, where the large "Christendom College" sign and four tall flagpoles stand. A Welcome Weekend Committee volunteer will direct you to the Student Center.
Step #2 New Student Registration in the St. John Paul the Great Student Center |
Welcome to the St. John Paul the Great Student Center. Follow the signs to enter through St. Kilian's Cafe, where family members can relax and enjoy refreshments while new students pick up their welcome packet, student ID, and other essential items. Families are also welcome to walk across campus the St. John the Evangelist Library to browse the Christendom Gift Store.
Step #3 Receive Orientation Folder
A Welcome Weekend Committee volunteer will explain the contents of your personalized Orientation folder, which will include a campus map, your Orientation schedule, and other essential information.
Step #4 Billing & Employment (if applicable)
If you still need to talk with Student Billing, you will be directed to speak to Miss Sarah Scarchilli or Miss Claire Finlay.
If you have applied and been hired to work on campus, you will be directed to speak with Mr. Dhanagom or Mrs. Calligari.
Step #5 Receive Your Student ID |
Mr. Stephen Pilon will have a station set up in the Student Center to take your photo and have your new Student ID card printed for you on the spot.
Step #6 Proceed to Your Residence Hall and Get Settled!
Welcome Weekend Committee volunteers will direct you to the unloading zones and help you move in.
REMINDER: Required Documents for Registration
Every incoming student will be required to show a government-issued photo ID at Registration on August 22nd. If you have any questions about this, please contact Mr. Cook at timothy.cook@christendom.edu.
If you are planning to work on campus, you must bring the required I-9 documents to Registration on August 22nd. Mrs. Callegari would need either an up-to-date passport or, if you don’t have one, BOTH your driver's license AND your social security card. If you do not bring the proper documentation in their original form, you will not be able to work the job(s) you were hired to do. If you have any questions about this, contact Mrs. Callegari at kathleen.callegari@christendom.edu.
