Highlights from The Art of (e)Motion
A huge round of applause for The Art of (e)Motion performances with students from Barton and Marcy last month!
One parent mentioned that the show opened a door for her: "I had no idea my boys would be good at something like this. I learned so much about them by watching them perform."  Audience members described the show as a phoenix, a rainbow, and "the best part of my day."
The incredible impact was evidenced by one student shouting after the show, "I am so proud of myself!"

Gratitude & The Work Ahead
As we witness through words and images the incredible impact of our work, we know that numbers tell a story too! Upstream Arts serves over 2,200 people in nearly 150 programs with over 84 partners. This abundance of art, access and advocacy costs nearly $800,000 every year, funded by partners, grants, foundations, and YOU! Every year, we count on you to cover $100,000 of that equation, and every year you fill us with great gratitude for your support.
This year we're a little behind in meeting our individual donor goal. In order to close the gap before our fiscal year ends on June 30, 2018, we need to raise $35,000 in May and another $35,000 in June. Luckily, we have all of you to help us do it!
Will you be one of our champions and invest $1,000 in Upstream Arts' vital work this month?
Click here to make a contribution online through MightyCause (formerly Razoo). You can also call (612) 331-4584 to donate by phone or mail a check to Upstream Arts, 3501 Chicago Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407.
Together, we are moving upstream. Thanks for all that you do!
