Dear Friend,
Globally, it is estimated that 60 million people have glaucoma and this number is projected to increase to 112 million by 2040. Currently, there is no cure and everyone is at risk for glaucoma.
During World Glaucoma Week, please make a commitment to get a comprehensive eye exam and also encourage family and friends to get screened as well.
Experts estimate that half of the people with glaucoma are unaware of their condition and could be slowly losing their sight because their glaucoma has not been diagnosed or treated. With increased awareness, early diagnosis and intervention can help prevent vision loss from glaucoma
