Cavaliers Dominate G‑MAC, Set Sights on Home NCAA Midwest Tournament Showdown |
Walsh University men’s basketball proudly captured the 2026 G-MAC tournament title on their home court, defeating Lake Erie 86–73 to secure their fifth conference championship. The Cavaliers have earned the number one seed in the Midwest Regional and will now host their first NCAA tournament game right here on campus on Saturday at 5 p.m.—an outstanding achievement for the program, players, and the entire Walsh community.

These updates are designed to make sure every internship offers meaningful, hands-on professional experience that builds real-world skills, strengthens networks, and supports career readiness. Please consider nominating an outstanding student for the Servant Leadership List. This recognition honors students who demonstrate exceptional service and leadership on campus and in the community. Qualified nominees include student leaders who have participated in service activities through volunteerism on/off campus, involvement in campus club/organizations and/or have contributed their time, talents and leadership in a way that has significantly enhanced the experience for others. 55th Business Club Scholarship Luncheon |
The DeVille School of Business invites the campus community to attend the 55th Business Club Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, April 10, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Barrette Business and Community Center. This year’s luncheon will feature keynote speaker Thomas B. McGowan IV, J.D., M.B.A., President and CEO of The McGowan Companies, who will share the story behind one of the oldest and largest brokerage firms in the United States. Launchpad 2026 x America 250 Pitch Competition, March 17 |
Ready to see big ideas take the stage—or bring your own? Launchpad 2026 x America 250, hosted by The Garage: Nolan Family Center for Innovation, is a Shark Tank–style pitch competition where students present business ideas to a panel of judges, get feedback, and compete for cash prizes: 1st $2,500 | 2nd $1,500 | 3rd $1,000. All business ideas are welcome, whether startups, side hustles, or concepts still in development. Join us March 17, 6–8 PM, at the Barrette Business Center to pitch, watch, and cheer on student innovators. Launchpad is also a steppingstone toward the America 250 pitch competition, which features $25,000 in total prizes, making it a great way to practice your pitch before a bigger stage. Led by etiquette trainer Dr. Kimberly Cleveland, this exclusive event offers students the chance to refine professional dining skills while enjoying a FREE three-course meal. You will learn practical, polished guidelines to make a great impression in business and formal dining settings, and every attendee receives a special gift. Dr. Cary Dabney, Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology, has been invited to present his research at the Oxford Symposium on Religious Studies, which will take place March 23–25, at Harris Manchester College, Oxford University in Oxford, United Kingdom. His paper, titled “A Raced Theology of the Human Person: An Expanded Catholic Theological Anthropology of the Catholic Magisterial Tradition,” was accepted following review by the Symposium’s Program Committee. The Oxford Symposium on Religious Studies brings together scholars from around the world to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue on religion, theology, and society.
Dr. Dabney’s presentation will contribute to ongoing scholarly conversations on theological anthropology and the development of Catholic thought in contemporary contexts.
