The fluctuation in temps brings the sweet realization that spring is just around the corner. Excitement abounds as we look forward to a return of touring (self-drive tours only, no bus trips yet), as well as a whole host of great virtual, hybrid, and in-person classes. You're invited to a free three-part exploration of Medea in Greek myth, drama, and modern reception at Miami University this spring:
Tuesday, March 8, 3:00 pm – Pier Pasolini's "Medea" (with Maria Callas) – Enjoy a screening, followed by a panel discussion.

Tuesday, April 5, 5:30 pm – Dinner and a Movie – Stream a Broadway production of Euripides' Medea at home, then join us online for a Zoom panel discussion. Location: Online
Monday, April 11, 4:00 pm – Uprooting "Medea" – Enjoy a wonderfully unique program conducted by the U.K. theatre company Khameleon Productions, exploring their recent production of Medea, featuring an all-BAME cast.

Ukraine under attackMiami's Havighurst Center is co-sponsoring a virtual event, "Ukraine Under Attack," on Monday, February 28, at noon. Organized by the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, the event will feature five outstanding scholars, including Gulnaz Sharafutdinova, once a Havighurst Center faculty associate and now a professor at King's College London.
