Texas A&M University–San Antonio has released an updated Brand Guide to help ensure a consistent, clear, and unified look and voice across all University communications. The refreshed guide includes guidance on visual identity, tone and messaging, logo usage, and templates designed to support your work and strengthen how we present A&M–San Antonio to our community. Faculty and staff are encouraged to review the updated Brand Guide and begin using it in all print and digital materials moving forward.

Please review the University’s updated standard administrative procedure for campus posting and advertising, which outlines the required approval process for flyers and other printed materials.

All flyers must be submitted through the Strategic Communications Request Form for review and approval before posting.

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure our website meets WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines before the April deadline, the ability for general Cascade users to upload document  (i.e. .docx, .pdf, .xlx, etc.) files to the website has been disabled. Attempts to upload documents to the site will now return an error message when a workflow is submitted.

Users who need a document uploaded to the site should submit it as an attachment to a StratComm Support Request. In the "Type of Service Requested" field, select "Website Photo/Document Upload" and attach the document(s) that need to be uploaded. To make it easier to optimize for accessibility, please submit documents as a Word (.docx) documents.

An Outstanding Senior Award will honor six students, and Distinguished Graduating Seniors will speak at Commencement.

The nomination deadline is Friday, Feb. 27.

Caroleena Mancilla is a finalist for Miss Fiesta 2026, a titleholder who serves as a goodwill ambassador for one of San Antonio’s most cherished traditions. A first-generation biology student, Mancilla is the 2025–2026 Student Government Association president.  The Fiesta San Antonio Foundation will officially crown Miss Fiesta on January 29 - we are cheering her on! 

Commuting to campus just got easier as VIA Metropolitan Transit has launched a new daily bus route that connects downtown to the South Side, including the University, with a stop on Jaguar Parkway. With an A&M-San Antonio ID, employees and students ride for free on VIA buses and VIA LINK, an on-demand ride-sharing van service.

Navigating campus can sometimes feel overwhelming. To make it easier, A&M–San Antonio has launched an interactive 3D map that takes the stress out of finding your way.

The map includes customizable features that enable users to personalize their experiences and highlight key destinations, such as academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots and dining options. With this new tool, you can easily identify where they need to go and how to get there.  

The Growler is the campus newsletter for faculty and staff of Texas A&M-San Antonio. The Growler is published every Tuesday from the start of the semester, providing insight into A&M-SA news, events, and announcements. If you would like to promote a University-wide event or announcement in The Growler, submit this form by 5 p.m. CT on a Monday the week before publication.
