Community Freedom Summit Keynote to Speak on Reducing the Demand for Human Trafficking |
Each year, more than 1,000 students, faculty, staff, and community members unite at Walsh University to take a stand against human trafficking—and this year, your voice is needed more than ever. Traffickers thrive in silence, but we are called to speak out.
Join us for the 7th Annual Community Freedom Summit on Saturday, September 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Cecchini Center Auxiliary Gym. Hosted by Not For Sale: One Step At A Time in partnership with Walsh University, this powerful event features keynote speaker Tony Talbott, a nationally recognized expert in anti-trafficking and global human rights advocacy. His talk, Reducing the Demand: How to Help Disrupt Human Trafficking, will draw on over 15 years of experience in advocacy, military service, and education.
The morning will also include:
- A symbolic Red Sand Project demonstration
- Freedom Educators holding signs along East Maple Street
- A community resource marketplace in the Aux Gym
- A one-mile silent Freedom Walk through campus
Admission is free. Come early to enjoy music by DJ Nikolina from Q92, grab a drink from the Forty-One Coffee Truck, and shop exclusive Not For Sale merchandise. Together, we can raise awareness, reduce the demand, and be the change! | Read More
