ON THE ROAD 

Our latest On the Road took us to one of the nation's largest and most renowned military medical centers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Located in Bethesda, Maryland, Walter Reed is the first military hospital to formally build an Office of Experience, striving to build a culture and a system in which every project, choice and change recognizes who is impacted and ensures those voices are heard.  

CASE STUDY 

Seattle Children's Hospital launched a pilot program to demonstrate the efficacy of patient navigation in the pediatric healthcare setting. Rather than focusing on specific chronic diseases or cancer, this program has been directed at removing barriers to timely, safe and effective care for Somali and Spanish-speaking families and their children with chronic/complex medical needs.
