Josh makes Translucent New MexicoVasesthe same way he makes classic New Mexico work - by melting precious silver on the surface, then performing a little secret magic - but instead of dark glass, he works from a palette of colored glasses or mixes his own original hues. The translucent base glass of these vessels lets light pass through in a way the classic dark blue can't, giving the New Mexico patterns a briliant luminosity.
This Month's Infinity Participant is the Planet Master Himself
Josh and family spent last week rambling the wilds of Arizona. Did Josh don a big white hat and act like a cowboy? Why yes, yes he did. Did he ride horses and attend a rodeo? Yep. Did he leave behind a little bit of himself? Well, of course! (Actually, three little bits.) This kind of thing is exactly how he started the Infinity Project before he invited the rest of us to join in: by just hiding Planets wherever he traveled.
Josh's son Jamey bends over backward to catch the perfect shot of mom, Cady.
This past Sunday, Salmon Falls Gallery held an opening for the summer exhibit of the wonderful work of Margot Apple and Kat McClelland. The snacks are gone now, but you can still enjoy the display!
SNOW FARM the New England Craft Program offers many fascinating workshops this summer. Some are already filled but a lot of great ones remain available. Check the schedule!
Wish you could ride your trusty steed into the Arizona hills and never hear from us again? It's possible! Where Josh went last week, there was no internet! Or you could just opt out below and inhale a lot less dust.
