| After doling out my two cents all year long, it’s great to find out what your favorites are AND I always discover some new “bests” to check out. This year we added a few categories that had big write-ins last year (new restaurant, car repair and brows, to name a few). The write-ins this year were overwhelmingly Katie Toolan who teaches children’s yoga in Old Saybrook. She is either the best kids yoga teacher in the world or has more friends than all of us! Congrats to all the winners!

All Dressed Up & Ready to Show Antique & Classic Boats at Mystic Seaport 7/23 – 7/24
For two days only, Saturday and Sunday, July 23-24, the most outstanding boats in New England will converge at Mystic Seaport for the Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous. Don't miss this colorful gathering of high-quality antique vessels in pristine condition, including cruisers, sailboats, and runabouts, competing for awards recognizing excellence in restoration, authenticity, and workmanship. This year, Noank-built vessels will be honored. The Museum's own Noank-built Emma C. Berry will be featured in celebration of the 150th anniversary of her launch. On Sunday at 12:30 p.m., the boats and their crews will take part in a jubilant three-mile parade down the historic Mystic River, through the iconic bascule bridge and out to Fishers Island Sound in what has become the highlight of the Mystic summer season. The Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous at Mystic Seaport is sponsored by Dodson Boatyard.
