If you're looking to get a better handle on your finances both now and in the future, we've got the classes for you.
We want to thank WESH 2 News for highlighting our Habitat U Estate Planning class last month, and the importance of making a plan for what will happen to your assets after you're gone.
This month, our Habitat U classes are focused on the three main aspects of financial literacy: budgeting, savings and credit. We also have a special class on property tax exemptions taught by the Orange County Property Appraiser. The classes are free to attend and open to the public – you don’t have to be a Habitat homeowner.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, and understanding the importance of life insurance is crucial for you and your family’s long-term financial security.
Life insurance is a contract between a policy owner and an insurance company. The insurer guarantees to pay a sum of money to designated beneficiaries upon the death of the insured in exchange for premium payments made during the policy holder’s lifetime. This powerful financial tool provides protection and peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

The survey for the 2025 community health needs assessment (CHNA) is accepting responses until Sept. 15. Every three years, the major hospital providers in our area perform this survey to produce a report about the greatest health needs in our region.
The 2022 survey made it clear affordable housing was the number one community health need.
The survey is available in five languages, and takes roughly 15 minutes to complete. If you provide your contact info in the survey, you'll be entered to win a $50 gift card.
