2021 E&M Code for Me Updates
ICANotes has released two changes to the Complete Assessment and Prescriber Progress Notes for 2021.
Notes must meet the following criteria for the changes to be observed:
- The note must be either a Complete Assessment or a Prescriber Progress Note
- The date of service must be January 1, 2021 or later
- The site type for the note's service location must be set to Office / Outpatient
If your note does not meet all of the criteria above, you will see the previous Code for Me logic.
If your note meets all of the criteria above, you will notice that the Medical Decision Making / Complexity section of these notes has been replaced by an MDM button.
