Astonished! Walk and Roll 2025 – Presented by the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation
The Astonished! Walk and Roll, presented by the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation, continues to be one of our most meaningful annual traditions — a celebration of inclusion, movement, and community. The Walk and Roll brings together individuals, families, teams, sponsors, and supporters to raise awareness and funds that directly support Astonished! programs and Core Members throughout the year.
This year, we are incredibly grateful to share that $46,000 was raised through the Walk and Roll. This achievement would not be possible without the generosity and commitment of our title sponsor, the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation, along with our many event sponsors, the enthusiasm and dedication of our Walk and Roll teams, and the countless donors who supported teams and shared our mission within their networks.
To everyone who rolled, walked, donated, sponsored, cheered, and shared — thank you. Your support helps ensure that Astonished! can continue creating meaningful, inclusive opportunities where everyone belongs.

Sean Davis
Hi! My name is Sean Davis, and I am 34 years old. I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, spending time with friends, and trying great food. Right now, I’m especially excited about Christmas because I get to celebrate with my family and attend fun holiday parties.
This semester at Astonished! in my PATH, I’ve really enjoyed making friendship bracelets, since my friends mean a lot to me, and I also had a great time creating Christmas ornaments. One highlight I’m especially proud of was helping with an accessibility audit at my friend’s church, where I also made some new friends.
When I’m not at Astonished!, you’ll usually find me watching Rider games (whoo hoo Grey Cup CHAMPS!), visiting my mom and dad, or relaxing with Netflix. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue practicing my typing skills and learning new game applications. A fun fact about me is that I’ve been to Toronto twice to watch the Blue Jays play!

As the season shifted, participants enjoyed a variety of Christmas-themed activities, including making snow globes, ornaments, gingerbread houses, and wreaths. The semester also included a cherished annual tradition — Chinese food for Christmas lunch while watching a holiday movie — and the Annual Christmas Baking Afternoon with Jodi Robson, hosted at Rebekah’s condo. Core Members also enjoyed an off-campus creative outing to the MacKenzie Art Gallery.

Social Club – Fall UpdateFall brought many fun and meaningful monthly gatherings for the Astonished! Social Club, creating opportunities for connection, celebration, and shared experiences.
In October, Core Members enjoyed a Brunch and Board Games Afternoon, featuring a delicious catered meal from The Ultimate Catering Experience, complete with mimosas and plenty of laughter.

In November, Core Members attended the Christmas Market at Hotel Saskatchewan, which prompted important reflection and conversation around accessibility in community spaces.

In December, Core Members gathered for the Annual Holiday Feast, followed by a festive afternoon at The Flats— a special bar-day outing since there is no longer a bar on campus — where the group also celebrated Nathan’s birthday.

The Social Club is shaped by what Core Members enjoy most, offering welcoming spaces for connection and a sense of belonging.

Collaboration Highlight: Kinesiology and Astonished Student Researchers
This fall, Astonished! was proud to collaborate once again with Dr. Brenda Rossow-Kimball’s 3rd-year Kinesiology and Health Studies class. Kinesiology students worked alongside Astonished! Student Researchers to plan and explore adaptive recreation, sport, and physical activity opportunities.
We deeply appreciated the students’ ability to listen thoughtfully, engage with curiosity, collaborate respectfully, and bring creativity and fun into the planning process. These partnerships enrich learning for everyone involved and reflect the value of inclusive, experiential education.

We are thankful for our collaboration with the City of Regina. Astonished! receives funding from the City of Regina Social Development Grant - to partially fund the Social Club.
In the letter accompanying the grant, the city wrote, “Your program provides supportive, meaningful, and accessible social, recreational, and cultural activities to young adults with complex physical disabilities. The committee acknowledged that your program responds to a great need in community and aligns strongly to the City’s social development priorities.”
