Dear Traveler,

Things are really heating up around here. And I’m not just talking about temperatures. As evidence, I’d point to the number of folks splashing around in out-of-the-way waterfalls, strolling around downtown, settling in for a starlit symphony out at the Brevard Music Center and sipping on a brew (or two) at the kind of watering hole that doesn’t require a swimsuit.

Transylvania County is a top-notch spot to visit year round, but something about the summer takes it to the next level. Waterfalls become an interactive experience. Forests teem with adventure-seekers of all ages. Evening, outdoor concerts feature internationally-renowned classical performers. And street festivals conclude with a spectacular, patriotic bang.

Until next time,
The Adventurist
