August 14, 2020
Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
Because of your hard work, we are able to deliver the Texas Christian University experience to our talented and eager students, many of whom have been arriving this week. Your dedication and preparation have successfully led us to today, the Friday before classes begin on Monday, August 17, 2020.
Once classes begin, we will embark on an even more rigorous journey with students, faculty and staff – on campus and off, as we manage the learnings that are sure to be in store for our community this year. I have every confidence we will rise to the demands of a changed academic landscape. The beginning of this semester is at once familiar with the excitement and hopeful anticipation of a new year full of personal development, AND completely new with required face coverings, disinfectant wipes everywhere, multiple learning modalities and no hugs allowed.
A buffet luncheon was not possible this year, but it doesn’t stop us from announcing and celebrating our deserving nominees and winners of the Chancellor’s Staff Award and the Michael R. Ferrari Award. I hope you will all enjoy the small gift to let you know how very glad I am that you are a proud Horned Frog. Gift pick-up details are here.
