Kindsight 2020: Oregon Coast Visitors Association Recognizes 20 of the Kindest Coasties

OCVA reflected on 2020 with stories of people, ideas and moments that strengthened coastal communities. From SOLVE beach cleanups to wildfire relief, trail maintenance to free books, communities up and down the Coast found creative ways to give back in 2020.

Reminder: Destination Ready Request for Qualifications Responses Due Feb. 9

Travel Oregon is seeking contractors to support the Destination Ready program award recipients as they launch and execute program projects. Project focus areas may be related to culinary & agritourism, water recreation, high-use destinations, outdoor recreation, and small business marketing support.

To learn more about the program and details of possible contractor roles, please review the Destination Ready Program Overview and RFQ.

If you’re an organization interested in submitting a project application for the Destination Ready program, applications are due tomorrow, Feb. 3 by noon. Application materials are available here.

U.S. Travel State of the Industry Recording Available

Last week, U.S. Travel delivered their annual State of the Travel Industry address, acknowledging the challenges the pandemic has presented the travel and tourism industry. CEO, Roger Dow shared a new policy platform to help accelerate travel recovery and revive the U.S. economy.
